Professor Malcolm Longair
Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge

Professor Longair, a former Astronomer Royal for Scotland and now at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, is an expert on the famous 19th century Scottish physicist, James Clerk Maxwell. The lecture will be aimed at a wide audience, and all are welcome.

Professor Longair will be receiving an honorary DSc at the Mathematics graduation ceremony in the afternoon.
